We are SOLD OUT! Thank you!
A detailed schedule is coming very soon. Check back shortly…
LOCATION:
The Tahoe Center Lodge is on the grounds of the Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center and sits on the gorgeous east shore of Lake Tahoe and will be our home for this uke filled weekend. The lodge is located about a mile south of Zephyr Cove, about 4 miles north of Stateline, Nevada.
The retreat will begin with a Friday afternoon workshop and group dinner (perhaps with spontaneous table-side performances!) After dinner, we’ll have a concert performance and if the weather is accommodating, we’ll strum around the campfire! Saturday includes a group breakfast, more workshops, time to get away and jam, a group lunch, more workshops, more strumming, and dinner, and another concert performance.
On Sunday morning we will again meet for breakfast and bid adieu to those choosing to leave. For those who remain, voluntary Sunday activities are being planned and there will also be time to buzz around the area and enjoy the Lake or Stateline casinos, should you desire. We’ll watch the sun go down over the Lake and again endeavor to sing around the fire!
What if it snows?
Early November weather is typically far more dependable than in the spring. There is still regional warmth from the summer and the weather is normally spectacular. In the 30 years we’ve lived here, we have only seen a handful of light storms. However, should a freak heavy storm hit to the point where the resort was deemed unsafe and unable to open, they would refund our money and we would get it all back to you.
Resort Rules:
No smoking, no pets, no alcohol. The premises has been owned by a Presbyterian organization for over 100 years and we think that these rules were put in place to keep the drunken miners of yesteryear from invading the prim and proper. Ha!
